Job Summary:
As a Healthcare Assistant Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both our office operations and our dedicated Healthcare Assistants. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients. You will collaborate closely with our Home Office Care team, Healthcare Assistants, and office staff to create a seamless experience for our clients and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Client Support - Provide exceptional support to our elderly clients and their families. Address any concerns or inquiries promptly and empathetically.
- Quality Assurance - Monitor and maintain the quality of care provided by our caregivers. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- New Client Onboarding - Work closely with our caregivers to ensure a smooth transition for new clients. Provide guidance on client preferences, care plans, and any specific needs.
- Training and Development - Assist in training new Healthcare Assistants, emphasizing best practices, empathy, and effective communication.
- Collaboration - Liaise with our office team, Healthcare Assistants, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care. Share insights and trends to improve overall service delivery.
- Documentation - Maintain accurate records, including client care plans, incident reports, and communication logs.
Shift availability:
This role is 5 days over 7 with some evening/weekend work and 30+ hours per week (scope for some flexibility on working hours)

Requirements for this role:
- Proven experience in Client Care and Leadership roles.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of elderly clients.
- Knowledge of Home Care Policies and Best Practices.
- Proficiency in using office software and electronic health records.
- At least 2 years experience in a relevant health or social care background.
- Flexibility in terms of days and hours is necessary for this position, as evening or weekend work would be required from time to time.
- Reliable and trustworthy with a strong commitment to providing high levels of care.
- Fluent in English.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Full clean driver's license with own transport (not negotiable).
Relevant qualifications accepted:
- Must be enrolled in or have completed a QQI Level 5 Healthcare related course (minimum of Care Skills and Care of the Older Person courses)
OR
- Must be in the process of completing a Nursing related qualification
